Electrolysis is the permanent destruction of human hair follicles. This is achieved by inserting a very fine needle into the hair follicle and gently applying a small amount of electricity; which, in turn causes cellular destruction and ultimately halts the ability of the hair follicle to produce a hair.
Electrolysis has been in use for more than 100 years, and works successfully on any type of hair and skin color because it targets individual hair follicles. Electrolysis may be an option for hair removal on most parts of the body, including but not limited to: Upper lip, chin, legs, underarms, back, bikini-line and eyebrows. Contact us to find out if this is the best solution for you.
Electrolysis is not a one-time treatment. Multiple sessions are required to achieve permanent hair removal. Electrolysis is considered the best option for permanent hair removal, however there are additional individual factors which cause hair growth which must be considered, including but not limited to: hormones, heredity, certain medications and medical conditions.
